We are delighted to announce that we have received support from EPCOR’s Heart + Soul Fund for our digital initiative, YEG in Motion.
To help us stay connected this winter, we’ll be creating a series of short ballet pieces as part of our YEG in Motion initiative, filmed in a variety of beloved spaces in Edmonton and shared online for all to enjoy.
“The arts are a vital part of who we are. They lift us up in challenging times, encourage us to explore the boundaries between the possible and the impossible, and connect us through unique experiences,” said Jennifer Addison, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at EPCOR. “With support from the Heart + Soul Fund, Ballet Edmonton has thoughtfully reshaped its programming to help bring people closer together, while we stay safe by being physically apart.”
We will also create videos of ballet classes as an alternative to the in-person classes usually provided to children in-need and seniors with cognitive impairment as part of our outreach program. The Heart + Soul Fund will support the costs of filming and production.
We are so grateful to EPCOR for recognizing the significant difference they can make in our ability to continue to create and connect with our patrons and the community at-large.
