Apprentice
Born in Japan, Ain began her dance training at the Sym’s BALLET in Tokyo. She went on to complete training in classical ballet at KK International by Kiyoko Kimura. While training at KK International, Ain worked with Masa Kolar, Guillaume Hulot, Takako Nishi, among others. In 2017, Ain trained in France at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, participated in the summer intensive at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp, the International Ballet Summer School Dresden, Canada’s Ballet Jorgen du Canada Junior Company program, Arts Umbrella International Summer Dance Intensive. In 2018, Ain moved to Vancouver to dance with Coastal City Ballet where she performed pas de trois and little swans in Swan lake. She was invited to dance with the Arts Umbrella Performance Research Project and has had the opportunity to participate in the rehearsals of the Ballet BC’s R+J as an understudy. Ain joined Ballet Edmonton as an apprentice for the 2020/2021 season.
