Rehearsal Director
Born in Fukushima, Japan, Yoko started her ballet training at Hitomi Takeuchi Ballet School. Upon graduating high school, Yoko moved to Vancouver to join Pacific DanceArts School where she completed her ballet training before starting her professional career as a dancer.
Yoko joined the Atlanta Ballet Company under the direction of John McFall, where she had the privilege to perform in ballets such as Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Fire Bird, Don Quixote, Peter Pan, Dracula and Moulin Rouge, to name a few. In 2017, she joined Coastal City Ballet to perform leading roles in ballets such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Raymonda and Joshua Beamish’s Butterfly Lovers. In, 2019 Yoko led the stage as Myrtha in Joshua Beamish/MOVE THE COMPANY’s production of @giselle.
Yoko has been with Ballet Edmonton since 2019.
