Samuel Ramos

Samuel Ramos was born in Suzano, Brazil, where he began his training at Livres Para Dançar at age eight, graduating in 2017. After further training at Anacã Estúdio de Dança in 2018, he relocated to Canada to join Vancouver’s Coastal City Ballet under the direction of Katie Bois.

Samuel first joined Ballet Edmonton in 2022 as an Emerging Artist, performing works by Dorotea Saykaly, Ihsan Rustem, Wen Wei Wang, Diego Ramalho and Shay Kuebler. He then spent three seasons as a company artist with Ballet Kelowna, collaborating with a prestigious roster of choreographers including John Alleyne, Alysa Pires, Guillaume Côté, Robert Stephen and Cameron Fraser-Monroe. Notable performance highlights include featured roles in Alexis Fletcher and Sylvain Senez’s Still Before, Lesley Telford’s An Instant and Artistic Director Simone Orlando’s Doppeling.

Samuel is thrilled to return to Ballet Edmonton for the 2026/27 season, eager to reconnect with the company’s vision and channel his evolved artistry into their dynamic contemporary repertoire.
