The board of directors of Ballet Edmonton Society is pleased to invite applications for the position of Managing Director.
Ballet Edmonton is entering its 13th season as Edmonton’s only resident ballet company, with significant growth underway. A contemporary ballet ensemble, Ballet Edmonton creates and commissions original work each season from a variety of national and international choreographic voices for main stage performance series and touring opportunities. Ballet Edmonton contributes to the evolution of contemporary ballet in Canada by expressing the unique narratives of the artists whose vision we help bring to life.
We are seeking an experienced, engaging leader with demonstrated skills in financial and human resource management, strategy development and execution, fund development, fundraising, and experience in the non-profit sector.
The successful person is action-oriented with a collaborative spirit and a keen sense of what it takes to manage multiple priorities. A quick thinker with a proven ability to manage long range and short-term strategic goals, this position is best suited to someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and has no qualms or shyness around individual donor and sponsor development in the private and corporate sectors.
Located in Edmonton, Alberta, this position is full time with some flexibility required for evening and weekend obligations, particularly for performance days.
