Summer Intensive 2024

Ballet Edmonton Summer Dance Intensive offers dedicated dance students the opportunity to learn from professional dancers and choreographers and work on repertoire that expands their physical vocabulary. This intensive is designed to help students with a strong technical foundation explore new perspectives on contemporary dance practices.
Daily classes in ballet, contemporary, improvisation, and repertoire. There will not be pointe work as the focus is on contemporary movement.
REQUIREMENTS: No audition is required, but applicants need a minimum of four years of ballet training.

August 19-23, 2024
Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Class Schedule
10:00 – 11:15 Ballet class
11:15 – 11:30 Break
11:30 – 12:30 Contemporary class
12:30 – 1:30 Lunch
1:30 – 3:30 Repertoire/Choreography
There will be a studio showing for friends and family on the last day of class at 1:30 pm.

Ages
Ages 12-22 with at least four years of ballet training. *Students will be divided into two groups according to skill level and age.
