Art Connects

Ballet Edmonton has introduced a series of community wellness programs using dance and movement. In response to the needs of our community and the research on the ways dance can be used to facilitate healthier bodies and minds, we are proud to make these programs available across Edmonton in various facilities.

In partnership with Canada’s National Ballet’s Sharing Dance initiative, Ballet Edmonton offers classes for adults, seniors, children, at-risk youth and those with a variety of disabilities. We believe dance and movement is one way that Art Connects people to each other and to themselves.

For Seniors

As part of Ballet Edmonton’s Art Connects programs, our movement classes for adults and seniors focus on ballet-based activities designed to improve balance, increase range of movement, prevent injury and manage symptoms associated with age-related illnesses including Alzheimer’s and dementia.
