Beginning on November 8th, Canada’s National Ballet School will be visiting 20 cities across the country and stopping in at our own Ruth Carse Centre for Dance!
Formal auditions are on Friday, November 11th:
These auditions are abbreviated classes which are specially structured to assess a range of qualities including coordination, musicality, quality of movement and physical suitability for the demands of classical ballet. No special preparation is required and prior dance training is not essential for children under 12 years of age.
Love to dance but don’t wish to audition? Students can participate in the open classes on Thursday, November 10th:
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your open class time slot for registration.
Lead artistic staff member, Rosalie Deligioridis, will be running these sessions. Rosalie is a choreographer and coach, who is also a certified Cecchetti examiner and has guest-taught at the Royal Danish Ballet and L’École de Danse de Quebec.
