Hello beloved donors, sponsors and friends,
All is well with Ballet Edmonton. Despite the uncertainty we are all experiencing, we are planning and we can’t wait to see you all again.
We have chosen to embrace this global “reset” with an artist’s spirit and will dig deeper into our art form and embrace all the transitions and changes before us so we can continue to deliver beautiful contemporary ballet to you.
We are embarking on a recovery campaign to rebuild some of the lost revenue that occurred as a result of all our major fundraising activities being cancelled this spring and summer. The majority of our operating revenue comes from ticket sales, donations and fundraisers, so we humbly appeal to you to please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help us plan for this coming season
As we look to the future, we are exploring exciting new ways, new partners and new spaces to be able to be with you again next season so you can be comfortable gathering in a safe way.
We feel very fortunate to have your support and hope you will continue to stand with us as we make our way back onto stages and cultural spaces. While there are things we do not yet know, we will share details with you when we are closer to being able to make those announcements confidently.
We are certain that dance will never be stifled by any force of nature – because dance is a force of nature. Please enjoy this short work by company dancer Ariana Barr
With thanks,
Wen Wei Wang, Artistic Director, Ballet Edmonton
