AUDITION NOTICE 

Ballet Edmonton 2025/26 Season

ABOUT: 

Ballet Edmonton is a creation-based contemporary ballet company under the Artistic Direction of Kirsten Wicklund based in Edmonton, Alberta (CANADA) . We collaborate with emerging and renowned choreographers and artists from across the world with a vision which honors the creative process as a platform to represent diverse artistic voices, ideas and approaches in dance. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

We are currently in search of experienced professional & emerging dance artists to occupy full-time & apprentice positions for the upcoming 2025/26 Season. Ideal candidates should possess a deep understanding of the classical ballet syllabus (a skillset of pointe work is an asset) and demonstrate an eagerness to explore a diverse range of movement practices and research. Creation and improvisation skills are required for all positions. We are specifically interested in individuals who excel in collaborative environments, as we emphasize creative process and welcome a variety of artistic voices.

  2. Video Footage via 1 Link (Vimeo or similar) – Max 8 minutes Including the following: 
  • 1-2 Excerpts of Performed Repertoire  (include pointe work if applicable)
  • Short improvisation

Artists under consideration for positions will be contacted and invited to an in-person audition to be held in Edmonton, Alberta.
