James Gregg

Choreographer

Born in Colorado and raised in Oklahoma, James Gregg is now a Los Angeles-based dancer, choreographer, and co-artistic director of a multidisciplinary company known as Wewolf.

James was the recipient of the 2015 Princess Grace Choreography Fellowship Award, winner of Ballet Austin’s 2014 New American Talent choreographic competition, a finalist in Milwaukee Ballet’s 2013 Genesis Choreographic Competition, and the winner of the International Choreographic Competition at Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur in 2011.

James has danced with Rubberband Dance Group, Bodytraffic, BJM Danse, Aszure & Artists, and River North Dance Chicago. He has performed the works of Barak Marshall, Crystal Pite, Mia Michaels, Gustavo Ramirez, Rodrigo Pedernieras, Frank Chauves, Danny Ezralow, Mauro Bigonzetti, Annabelle Lopez-Ochoa, and Cayetano Soto.

Gregg’s work has been performed by Groundworks Dance Company, Bodytraffic, Whim W’Him, Cirque du Soleil, Danceworks Chicago, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, Ballet X, Northwest Dance Project, Springboard Danse Project Montreal, River North Dance Company, and L’Ecole Superieure de Danse de Quebec.

James has been featured in film and television productions with Elton John, Lyon, Kresha Turner, Ils Dansent, and On the Road.

Gregg’s wide array of professional experience has given him the tools to create his own movement vocabulary and mold his voice and vision.
