Wow! Our inaugural foot-forward fashion event, Art & Sole, is done and it could not have been any more FUN! From the moment we opened the doors of the beautiful reimagined old church that has been transformed into Studio 96, we sensed we were in for a great night. The weather was spectacular – guests arrived in their spring attire and sipped on the delightful Cointreau Citie Fizz cocktail created especially for our event and provided by our spirit sponsor, Glazers Remy Cointreau.
We began our evening with a lovely short performance by our dancers, followed by the fashion show, hosted by Global Edmonton’s Jennifer Crosby. Our dancers and volunteer models all looked amazing in the clothes provided by Nicole Campre and her team at Workhall, and showed off beautiful shoes from Kunitz Shoes, Poppy Barley and March First Footwear – they had a hard time giving them all back! Not only did these local vendors supply shoes and clothing, they joined the party!
Our silent auction tables were magnificent and bountiful, thanks to the amazing and generous donations we received from so many local shops. Not one item was left behind – there was something for everyone.
We feel so lucky to be in such a great community of creative souls and are thrilled the turnout was so strong. We are already planning next year’s event!
Thank you Edmonton!
