One of the most valuable assets for any ballet company is its dancers’ feet. A quality pair of ballet pointe shoes can cost up to $125 a pair and each dancer goes through approximately 30 pairs every season – with five female dancers, that can total almost $20,000 per year!
Art & Sole is Citie Ballet’s annual foot-forward fashion fundraiser that combines local footwear fashion with Citie Ballet’s original contemporary ballet performances to raise these much-needed funds.
Come join us on Thursday, May 10th at the ATB Arts Barns as we raise funds to keep our dancers en pointe, and have a little fun, too. The evening will begin with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by the fashion show featuring footwear from local boutiques including Poppy Barley, Gravity Pope, Kunitz Shoes and Good Luck Sock. The models and dancers will also feature Canadian-made leather jackets by Bano eeMee.
